and this is a serious question. i was just wanting your opinions on if you think The Rock is a sell out or not. while i'm not 100% with the spoiler sites..some of what has occurred has happened from the spoiler sites predicting it. and they are saying The Rock turned down the invitation to the RAW 15th anniversary set for next week..and also Rock changing his name back to Dwayne Johnson and no longer wanting to be called "The Rock"

Back to the question. Would you consider "The Rock" to be a sell out if he were to miss next week's RAW?

i'm not saying that since he started in WWE he HAS to go back. if he wants to go its fine by me. but i just dont get the fact the guy doesn't even want to appear on perhaps his final appearance on RAW on the 15th anniversary. that would be a great way to end your wrestling career in my opinion.

If he doesn't want to be involved in Wrestling, let the man do whatever he wants.

Yes he would be a sellout. I think people get the fact that he is not wanting to be a wrestler. Thats pretty obvious. When people go and watch his movies, they do so because they respect him as an actor. I wouldnt go watch his movie if he sucked onscreen just because he was a hit on Raw years ago. As to him changing his name, thats cool. He is Dwayne Johnson now. He isnt a wrestler anymore so the name change makes sense. I can understand that. But regardless of the fact that he wants to be a legit actor and wants to cut ties with that part of his life, when it comes down to it, WWE fans did get him elevated in his career. He might not be where he is now, or have the opportunities he does, if not for the wrestling fans. He should at least respect the people that helped him up the ladder of success.

I don't consider him a sell-out and I'll explain why. The Rock did a lot for wrestling and wrestling did a lot for The Rock. He had his time in wrestling and now he's decided to persue a career in acting, probably because it's safer. You can't blame him because why not leave on top and while he's still in good health. He entertained us for many years so why not just be thankful for that? Second, I think he should make a LIVE appearance on the 15th Annversary Raw because it would be nice since the wrestling fans are the ones who elevated his popularity to what it is now, and elevated it so he has the opportunities he has now.

He reverted back to his own name Dwayne Johnson bcz he's no longer a wrestler & has become an actor. He's finished in-ring & has retired fullstop. He's got zero plans to ever return again.
He's not a sell-out bcz he fulfilled everything that was asked of him whilst under contract to Vince. In his time he was the model wrestler & exemplary employee of Vince. That's why he left on good terms & did the promo at this year's Mania.
He turned down the 15th Anniversary Raw bcz he's done with wrestling & is no longer involved & therefore has no obligation to appear. He has already said he's involved in pre-production on his latest movie Witch Mountain.

Dwayne Douglas Johnson is his REAL name. He never changed it.

What he has done is moved on from The Rock. I don't blame him if he doesn't want to get dragged back into all that. He makes more, making bad movies that he used to as a wrestler & he doesn't even have to do his own stunts.

So what if he didn't want a STORYLINE in the 15th anniversary show. What he was being offered was a storyline.

I don't see other wrestlers coming back - like Brett Hart or Goldberg. But hey, I stopped watching when WCW & ECW got bought out.

Yes, i do believe he is a sell out, because of the fact that he doesn't want to have anything to do with with WWE anymore, the WWE created his character, do you know what his movies would've been like if he the wouldn't have been in the WWE, the least he can do is just come to the WWE anniversary like Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan, the only reason i believe is explainable is career-ending injury like what happened to Stone Cold.

Yes If he can't even come to the Monday Night Raw 15th Anniversery Show he if officaly a Sell Out, I mean the least he can do is make a one time return to the WWE on next's weeks Raw.

The Rock never changed his name "back" to Dwayne Johnson, it always was Dwayne Johnson. The Rock was his most recent stage name in the WWE; prior to that, it was "Rocky" Maivia, in tribute to his father, "Rocky" Johnson, and grandfather, Peter Maivia. There's nothing wrong with him going on to a successful acting career; it's been attempted by any number of wrestlers over the years, and he's just been more successful at than most. Hulk Hogan tried it, but never made it very far, and now has a reality show. My hat's off to Dwayne.

The Rock is not a sellout. He branched out to do other things. He's not like Ric Flair. He doesn't want to stay in the wrestling business until it kills him. He's successful, and he's probably making a lot more money acting than wrestling.Nobody ever said that just because you started in WWE,that you had to go back everytime they asked you.
