Well, matter (stuff) is made up from elements. For instance... A house (matter) is made of wood, metal, dry wall, paint, nails, screws... etc (Elements).... But all of it makes a house. Now those same materials could make an office, a barn, or even modern art!

Hope that helps love.

Cheers

The first answer is right. There is a huge number of ways the different elements can be combined to form new combinations (molecules, mixtures, alloys, etc). If you want to be more basic, there are really only 3 kinds of matter (at least only three that mankind has much experience with): protons, nuetrons, and electrons. Someone might argue that there are other forms of matter such as anti-matter or the unknown "dark matter" of interstellar space but humans don't know very much about these yet.

I hope this helps

The different kinds of matter may differ in size, shape and function, but things are so closely related that it is hard to find things that arent too uncommon from one another. Picture it like this, there are 365 days in a year, and over 6 billion people on the planet. Now you know as well as I do that there are many people on this planet likely to have birthdays on the same day. Just as 1,000,000 people could be born on March 15, there can be 1,000,000 things made from the same element.

The elements can have an infinite level of ways to combine. First, they themselves have different isotopes (neutron numbers) and can ionize. They can bond in different ways with different other elements to create endless molecules and compounds. Think about the sea. At its most simple state, it is a bunch of H20. Then add all the salts (mostly Cl ions, Mg ions, Na ions, and so on...) Then add the sand and stuff at the bottom SiO2. Keep adding. Infinite diversity, in most cases without nearly all 112 atoms.

Good Luck

There are 112 known elements yes, but they combine into almost an unlimited number of compounds.

Because, we only know the elements we have currently discovered. And thousands of different types of matter can be made up of different combinations of all sorts of elements. Kind of like you can have your macaroni with cheese with Parmesan on top, or ketchup. With or without tuna, and likewise peas.

It's all in the mix. That help?

how many words are there in the english language?

And yet we have only 26 letters...

it's the same principle, the elements are building blocks, and the way they are put together determines what they form.

i do no longer think that a loving, only, honest God could condemn any of His little ones to that. i think of that every person would be judged by using their hearts, and by using the variety of individual they have been in this existence. I even have faith that people who don't recognize of Christ could have the prospect to check and settle for that once demise. i do no longer think of demise is an computerized sentence to the two heaven or hell. i think of there is time in between as quickly as we die and extremely final judgment. that factor would be spent getting to understand extra, starting to be extra and accepting what we did no longer get a raffle to in the worldwide.
