I have 2 beloved, petite aunts who are in their 70s. I need a source (online store) for clothes to suit them. They would prefer to wear the same conservative machine washable, 100% polyester styles they have been wearing for the last 25 years or so. (If I bought them a "new" style, it would probably go in the closet never to see the light of day).

In particular, I'm looking for blouses that are a silky polyester (like a suit blouse) but have a stretchy ribbed knit band at the bottom (like a sweat shirt). These blouses had their heyday sometime in the 1980s, but my aunts still love them nevertheless.

Old Pueblo Traders used to carry these as recently as last Christmas, but no more. Can anyone suggest another source? Many thanks.

I have struck out with Sears, JC Penney, Petite Sophisticate, and Drapers & Damons.

While I am a huge fan of thrift stores and resale for myself, I'd prefer not to go for used clothes as a gift.

My daughter does health care and helps some senior women shop. Believe it or not one lady bought 50 of the same blouse (different fabrics) because it was so hard to find. These senior ladies seem to have the best luck at the lower end stores like WalMart, KMart and ShopCo. Don't know if they have those where you live, but check whatever low end stores are in your neighborhood.

Good for you=] I think you should just go in stores and pick what you think is conservative orr... there are more ways to have conservative clothes like wearing a cami under a low top or leggings with a short skirt.

I go to thrift stores and consignment shops and look in the vintage clothing section. those things never wore out and there should be some in good shape for very cheap .

Not sure, but Sears has a lot of 'old lady' clothes.
