Granny, I'm coming to your place for some of that!

Pat, and anyone else, here's my recipe:

1 can of tuna drained
1 ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup of mayonnaise
3 teaspoons of pickle relish
½ teaspoon of dill weed
¼ teaspoon of lemon pepper seasoning
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
Biscuit dough

I usually add 3-4 of the following ingredients (quantity depending on taste)
Chopped celery
Nuts (I like pecans)
Chopped onion
1 chopped granny smith apple
Sliced ripe olives
1 chopped hard boiled egg
Roasted red pepper
Bacon bits (I use real bacon)

Directions
Combine all ingredients except biscuit dough.
Roll dough out to ¼ inch thickness and prepare them into about 4 inch squares.
Put about 2 ½ tablespoons on to each dough pieces and fold over and pinch closed.
Make a 1–2 inch slit on the top of each one.
Bake about 18 – 20 minutes in a 375 degree oven.

If you like them crunchy, you can give them an egg bath and dip them into crushed potato chips.

Chicken CatchaMan. Boiled chicken near done into a foil-lined broiler pan with drained cans of favorite vegetables, fresh mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup spread over the top with a little water, dabs of butter, baked at 350 long enough.

Well Gladys: I'll tell you how
I really "bombed" tonight.
I live alone but wanted something special, I had a recipe for a special quiche.
You had to saute' all the
ingredients then open some refrigerator biscuits and put in
a pie plate and flatten it all
out to make a crust.
Those biscuits were horrible,
they had sugar in them. My
biscuits are great!
It all looked good on top,
but when it was done (NOT),
only the dough around the
top edge was cooked.
the bottom was all gooey and
combined with my expensive,
sauteed ingredients.
I ate some off the top and threw the rest away.
Never again!!!

Dear Gladys, I've made so many things I could never remember remember naming... I do save all the old cook books however. They are wonderful and have recipes from many of my now gone relatives. Generally they were put out as fund raisers for the Church, typed by an old underwood !!! All grandmother's notes are in there as well as a few of my Aunts...

They are... Just priceless to me you know!

An attempt to "copycat" a chicken recipe from a favorite restaurant. I came pretty close. Grill a chicken breast marinated in lemon, olive oil garlic and greek seasoning. Serve with potatoes roasted in the marinade. YUM! Haven't thought of a name yet. Any Ideas??

*Gingerbread In A Lemon Cloud*
I make a gingerbread from any cookbook and bake it in a square 9 in. by 9 in. pan. I let it cool and turn it out in a square plastic container with a lid. I make up a box of lemon jello omitting half the water. I let it begin to gel. In the mean time I take the handle of a wooden spoon and poke holes in my gingerbread about an inch apart and I pour the thickening jello over poked gingerbread. I put the lid on container and put in the refrigerator until almost ready to serve. I take it out of the fridge and frost with a container of cool-whip and serve. I double this for bigger company. There is never any left.

Mine was the Pizza bagel.
First you get a bagel cut it in half then put Philadelphia cheese cream on it "make sure you cover everything" and then put Mama Mary's pizza sauce on do the same thing again then put cheese cover everything for a third layer then then put it in the toaster for about 5 minutes then take it out and eat it.

Poor Mans Salad: We didn't have anything to make a salad with, but I had a ton of cucumbers (we grew them) I marinated them in spicy Italian dressing for about an hour and we have been eating it that way ever since. That was about 20 years ago..

"Killer Coleslaw". Cabbage (of course), onions, sugar to coat the cabbage and onions. Sugar, vinegar, celery seed, dry mustard, salt for the dressing. It has to be mixed and refrigerated overnight before serving. It is good if you like German style slaw.
I forgot about the salad oil that goes with the cooked dressing ingredients. Oops!
