Why not? She may love to get it if she entertains at home and likes to drink wine. Although, it is quite the gift, but if you are spending within your dollars, I wouldn't see why it would be a big deal. You could also get a bottle of wine with 2 wine glasses for a nice touch if you think 12 glasses are too much like a bridal shower gift. Either choice is fine.

I wouldn't. A woman in her mid-40's probably has wine glasses, and then some. Plus, 12 glasses? Who's to say that she would have the room. I think it would only be appropriate if it was something that you knew that she wanted. You'd be better off with something else.

It's a really good gift. She doesn't have to drink wine out of them. And if she has a problem with it she can always re-gift. I hope that 's what your doing, cause maybe she will keep the cycle going and they'll eventually end up in my hands ;)

Seriously though, it's fine.

Totally appropriate gift. You could always fill the wine glasses with wrapped chocolates.

It depends on the woman...If she abhors alcohol I think she will find it extremely offensive, but if she thinks alcohol OK, then that's fine, especially considering her age. The trick with a secret Santa is consideration of the gift precipitant. Try to find out if she drinks or not, then base your decision on that. Hope this helps....

as long as she is NOT a recovering alcoholic--otherwise the gift would be cruel. Of course, in a Secret Santa program, she is NEVER supposed to know who got this item for her.

As long as you know she drinks wine! I guess it'd be a good regift for her. Wine glasses are very nice gifts in my opinion.

present enjoying cards are great presents. I have been given some as quickly as I have been given married and that i replaced into only as happy as though I had gained an certainly contemporary. Plus, that is alot greater handy to get a contemporary card for somebody you do not understand very properly.

Yes, unless she doesn't drink wine.... that would kind of defeat the purpose of the gift. But i guess she could still drink water in them.
