are dollar store tests accurate?! i've been ttc for 2 months now.
on october 28th i got light spotting that was brown with just a tiny bit of blood, but it lasted like 5 days and i got about 4 neg tests so i gave up on the idea that i was preg. november we tried again alot during my fertile days and according to a 34 day cycle i should have gotten my period on the 30th of november or the 1st of this month. i still haven't gotten it, instead i've had really sore nipples for a little over a week now, and now the outside of my breasts are becoming sore. that's never happened to me before a period. i have been unable to get through the day without passing out for a nap, and i've been able to eat more than i ever have before.

also, on the day i was supposed to get my period me and my lover noticed i had a large amount of white lotion-like discharge instead. i still have it. and among other symptoms, i keep getting really low intensity cramps since yesterday.
i got neg tests today?

it was a dollar store test. it measures 25 mlu of the hormone.

i know i shouldn't get my hopes up, but this time i know i am pregnant. there is no way that i'm not with the symptoms i have and the way i feel. my period is almost 6 days late now and my boobs hurt, etc. etc. i wasn't even gonna take a test but i figured i would anyways. i should have gotten a more reliable one?

My older sister used a dollar store test with both of her children and they worked for her. If you are getting a negative result consult your doctor. They can do blood testing to search for a pregnancy hormone. Hope this helps!

my best friend has 4 kids and I asked her the same thing, she said with all 4 of them she used a dollar store test, they all showed positive so she went to a doctor for a blood test and sure enough she was...So what she told me is they do work ( at least 4 her )...Hope this helped a little...Good Luck

yes they are accurate. i used them with this pregnancy. i used a $4 one and a $1 one. both showed a dark positive. they even use the $1 ones at some health departments. (i noticed this when i went to the HD and had a test and when they showed me the result it was the same test i paid a dollar for). they actually show up positive sooner than first response.

They are acurate, I used them with my son. I was 6 weeks pregnant when I tested though so I am sure I had alot of HCG in my system. But they are pretty sensitive. Good Luck!

EDIT:
sometimes when you want to be pregnant so bad you can fool your body into beliving you are. this can also delay your cycle. Just relax and let nature take its course when you least expect it you will end up pregnant. Just keep trying and dont use birth control it will happen in its own time. good luck to you!!!

ive heard that they are pretty accurate. i used them for the past 6 mths, each mth they said negative, turns out they were right. i am still ttc#2, beginning our 7th mth now.
wait a couple more days and test again or see your doc for a blood test.
good luck
