Perhaps, but only until they prove they don't deserve it.
Or can't make an argument without lying for instance. AT that point they lose honesty credibility and integrity.

In an Utopic society everyone would receive respect. But that's not how it is in the real world. I, however, respect everyone until they give me reason not to.
That's just me.
