You can talk to a yankee here in Dallas and all they talk about is great New York is or Boston yet you could not pull them back to the North with a steam roller. Go figure.

Come to Boston today, you wouldn't stay either. It was 16 degrees when I woke up this AM.

One thing about New Englanders - they *********. about everything. Just tell them if they don't like it, go back to Boston. No place is perfect.

I'm currently living in Florida and loving it! I Have lived in Florida for 15 years, I had lived in Texas for two. I prefer Florida but you must also deal with humidity. When moving to Florida from California I made a list of 30 things I like and dislike about each. Keep in mind cost and job availability. Overall it is your choice, both states are great! @Francesca, That is incorrect, it depends which place you move, i live near the space station and there are few Latinos or Latina here.

Just like everyone else says...weather...snow, ice, wind and cold!

But, add in very high state taxes, sky high property & property taxes and high heating bills to the wonderful weather....and now you have the answer why people move south.

When you retire and income is less, you cannot afford to live up there...and the warmer weather is sure a lot easier on the old bones!

Probably for the same reason, when southerners move north and then complain about things. But they won't leave because they're actually making a decent living. Complaining is part of human nature.

Because the only reason anyone ever moves to Florida is because they dont know how to handle the cold. It's sad really.
