does it matter if clothes may be slightly damp after you put them away when doing laundry? i heard it could cause mold/a bad smell and also doesn't using the dryer to dry clothes cost a lot in terms of the energy bill? thanks :)

I wouldn't put them away damp,,for mold/mildew reasons,,and the smell,,,if you keep the lint catcher clean your dryer will work much better & dry your clothes faster...the most air inside the dryer needs to get out.....hope this helped along with all the other good answers

I put in the dryer until damp and then hang up in the house to finish drying.

You should never put clothes away unless they are completely dry.
It will cause mold, and it can ruin your clothes.
Mold is a health hazard.
Running your dryer a little longer is worth it.

The items on hangers should be OK, but if you have folded items, they should be completely dry.
