Until recently Romney has been second behind Rudy - now it's a three way tie with Thompson, and Huckabee. He has a chance still. Religion is part of it, but I don't think it would disqualify him any more than a black candidate, or a woman.

Non-mormons do not accept the beliefs that are currently accepted by married mormon couples. Men are not allowed to have more that one wife in a normal, traditionally accepted society and that is just the way it is. Monogamy may be a rare practice but it is not an uncommon belief, like it or not. Romney and all other bigamists can go live with the Amish and be a true practicing mormons living modestly off the land with none of life's luxuries for all I care. We'll see how devoted you remain to your religion and for how long.

What would happen if Romney were elected President? Ha, ha!!! The United Stated could look forward to bigger deficits, longer wartime, and basically becoming one big Massachusetts with inflated taxes and a CEO who is out of the office 70% of the time. Tax the poor and continue to line the pockets of the rich. All done in typical right wing style.

All About......where to start. Rather be a Democrat than a hypocritical bigamist.. Big time. Shut your trap about bigots. I love people of all nationalities and races regardless of religion. I merely pointed out that majority rules and people just do not believe in multiple wives. Bigamy is bigamy and this belief does not make me a bigot anymore than not liking rap music would. Get a brain a life and a clue.

Probably because most people are not familiar with the mormon faith, they are distrustful of that which they don't understand. If Romney were elected, our economy would improve under Romney's hand. He is a self-made man, an excellent businessman, and the fact that he was elected governor of Massachusetts, a bluer than blue state, tell you he knows how to govern. As for our role in the middle east, I'm sure he'll do the right thing.

There's nothing scary about a Mormon president. What's scary is all the bigots who would disqualify a presidential candidate just because he's Mormon.

What's scary is that he is extremely right-wing. If I wanted to live in a country with no protection for anyone other than the wealthy, I'd move to most any third-world country, where there is no support system and the rich run everything and there is no middle class, only very rich and very poor.

I can't mention anything about Mormons because someone always reports me when I do. They don't seem very tolerant.

One more four year Republican term and the country will be beyond saving.

Whatever or whomever it will be a Republican. You cannot sweep whats going with Iraq etc. under the carpet so quickly, that would be cruel, it will be a moderate Republican whomever that is. The Democrats willl have to wait awhile longer.

It shouldn't even be an issue because we are supposed to have church and state separate. Oh well.

I could care less about his religion.

What bothers me is that he is a Republican. The last thing that we need is 4 more years of Bush like rule.
