Yes you are, there is no other car in its class that I would buy. The BMW 3 series is its main competition but I still prefer the A4 because it has quattro, is faster, has a turbo, and if you get a computer tune at goapr.com you get an extra 50hp.

I own a 98 1.8T quattro with tiptronic and I love it.

P.S: Go with the A4 !!!

I definitly think the A4 is the best bang for the buck. the BMW 3 series does have faster models if you are willing to spend the money and if you live where there is no snow the rear drive has some performance advantages until it rains or snows. But honestly i would go with the Audi they are slightly cheaper to maintain than the BMW and have a much nicer interior. I think for a every day driver its a great car if i was buying a track car i might consider the 3 series but not for a daily driver their just not as practical especially up north.

I agree with Domino. I personally am lusting for a used Audi A6 or Allroad. Audi's in general are safer (NHTSA crash tests) and age better than 90% of other cars. They can be custom tuned for better performance, if you like, with computer chips from T.A.P. They are a total blast to drive and still return amazingly high MPG numbers. Try test driving an Audi A3 with the new DSG transmission and try to contain your automotive lust. Realizing that a chip can boost the 200HP engine to 265hp relatively cheaply.Four-wheel drive rules!!!!
