You betcha. For extended periods of time (years) as will philodendron, wandering jew, coleus, begonia, impatiens, cyperus a and h, spider plants, scheffelera....gazillions of things. When in doubt, plunk it in water.

You sure can. Don't be alarmed if the don't do too well if you decide to plant them up in soil later. The roots in soil are a little stronger as they are pushing through the soil and the feeder roots are a little different. No resistance in water. You can do this with a lot of plants. Look under hydroponics and see what's there.
