Long story short...I waited for him for 9 years (my fault). The last straw was when he had a baby with a new girlfriend. I changed my number and didn't speak to him for 3 years until he showed up on my doorstep a few months ago.
Now after 2 KIDS, he wants to break up with the children's mother and he won't stop calling.
I keep asking him OVER AND OVER what he wants from me and he says "he just wants to be friends".
What's really going on? GUYS HELP!!!!

He doesn't like all the responsibility he now has with wife and children, remembers the good times with you way back when life was easier, and now has a fantasy that by returning to you life will be easy again. He may think he wants to be "just friends" but what he really wants is to be like you two were a decade ago. You are both different people now and his fantasy will eventually wear off. Don't be flattered by the attention and DON'T cling to any sort of fantasy (sounds like you don't) that this will be a storybook reunion. RUN away, don't walk (and good luck).

He wants to be able to have his cake and eat it too. Just tell him to leave you alone and you don't want any further contact with him. He had his chance and blew it. Good luck.

Whatever it is . . . let him figure it out by himself. You said "he wants to breakup with the children's mother," but he hasn't. That should be a red flag.
