Conservatives tend to believe in fewer social services, and less government investment in the infrastructure of the country (roads, bridges, etc.), believing that the private industries should do such work and not government entities.
Conservatives tend to believe that the free market will fix most problems, over time, and so generally want less regulation of industry: Less environmental regulation, less power of workers to collectively bargain for wages, and so on.
Conservatives tend to believe that when more money is made available to the top earners or investors, through less taxation, that the money will trickle down to everyone else eventually.
Conservatives are pro-globalization, meaning that they are in favor of industries being able to hire people from overseas and move out of the country when they can make a better profit elsewhere. Conservatives, generally, are pro-business and anti-union. Conservatives tend to want a larger military, with a stronger power of central government in matters deemed to be in the interests of national security or the financial interests of American corporations overseas.
Those are just a few that come to mind.

Being politically incorrect.
I don't feel bad kids should be rewarded with a pizza for being good one week, while all the good kids get nothing. Yes, this happened at my daughter's school and she was disheartened.
I don't agree that God should be shoved in our closets and Christmas being "taboo".
I stand up for the unborn.
I stand up against terrorism and know that they are a real threat.
I don't want the government telling me what my child cannot eat at school.
These are just a few.

Conservatives typically do not want the government interfering with their lives except for those activities which require an arbiter (e.g. interstate trade, foreign affairs, defense, etc.). I believe that we choose the type of ideology that we feel would work for us personally. I do not want a handout therefore I tend to project that thought onto others (e.g. "I can't imagine anyone who would want to be on welfare, etc.).
Conservatives believe in personal responsbility rather than collective responsibility. If I run my care through my garage I would never think to claim it on my insurance, liberals would rationalize it as a loss included in the collective risk pool.
Personally conservatism fits me better. I feel both ideologies make assumptions about others. Correct lies between.

Their biggest strength is their lack of consideration for the truth. They prefer to live in the past and draw parallels from different eras when we weren't as advanced as we are today.
If they accepted the truth then they wouldn't be a conservative. Cons are all about the "end justifies the means" theory. They believe the same thing Wednesday as they believed on Monday, no matter what happened on Tuesday.

In general, conservatives want lower taxes, less government spending and less government. If you have studied economics, our economic system works better with less government oversight.
The democratic system wants the government to control your hard earned money and distribute it as they see fit.

Love of Freedom.
God, Family, Country.
Being the OPPOSITE of Democrats and Liberals.
I was a Democrat. But I ESCAPED the Democrat Plantation, where blacks and poor whites are kept down, poor, in our place, and voting Democrat in hopes of a HANDOUT.
Get Freedom. ESCAPE THE DEMOCRAT PLANTATION.
Get Happy.
Forget the Welfare Check.
Get a Job, and vote against the Democrat Plantation Owners.

You cannot stop a select group from answering your question. I choose to exercise my first amendment's rights.
I will, however, give a fair answer. I bet you'll get too few of those.
Conservative means you pretty much want the government to stay out of the citizens' lives as much as possible.
