okay people, it's not that hard.
y-y1=m(x-x1)
like if your ordered pair was (1,-8) and the slope was 1/2the formula would look like:
y+8=1/2(x-1)
to clear that up: y=mx+b is slope intercept form

I think it is y=mx+b
