I think the lack of recession makes them sadder, since a recession would have a negative effect on more people (most people don't even know anyone in the military, let alone being related to someone serving). I think Liberals are happiest when the most people are suffering and a recession would hit a lot more people than anything that could happen in Iraq.

Gore as POTUS in 2000 with enormous city vote and eight? of fifty states might have desperate that 9/eleven replace right into a criminal professional deal and executed little or no longer something. we'd nonetheless be shot at different than with high priced chinese language/North Korean missles that oftentimes HIT. we would not be landmining all the borders as that could desire to be sensible and Al Qaeda could be compelled to apply the checkpoints that are OPEN for NO obvious reason right into a conflict ZONE the place kinfolk have no agency attending funerals from Syria, grabbing a gun and murdering somebody. No dying from above to maintain fleers in or out. comparable element.

Personally I am not a Liberal, so I can't really formulate an opinion on what makes a Liberal sad, how they feel about the a recession or how they feel about troops being killed.

None of the above. What makes us sadder is that people still believe in dismantling our Constitution for the sake of policy that is wrong. The other thing that makes us sadder is that 4000 troops died for this lying sack of sh*t of a president and it's obvious that they didn't need to. they shouldn't have been sent in the first place.

As a liberal, I'll pick less troops killed in Iraq. The news of *any* troops dying in an unnecessary and unwinable war saddens me. The fact that we are celebrating less troop deaths conveys what a sad state of affairs we are in.

Neither. We all support our country and troops. Your polarizing nonsense must come to an end.
But there is a recession, and it is most noticeable right now in the housing market. It will become more apparent soon enough.
