I never thought that I would agree with Mr. Buchanan,but.......
Here he is saying what I've been saying for 23 yrs.
In todays time line,we should consider moving our troops out of certain countries and bringing them home to protect our countries borders and ports,to free up the border patrol and INS to track down illegal aliens in this country.
Think of all the money we could save in one month alone. That monies could do a lot to pay off the national debt,and improve the lott of our active duty military.

After WWII (1945) US troops have been stationed in South Korea escorting Japanise troops out and rebuilding the country. The Soviet Union left North Korea in 1948 on a similar time as the US remained interior the South until 1949 while they pulled decrease back to mainland Japan. This left South Korea almost defenseless. The North invaded in 1950 and took over most of the country until a US offensive pushed them decrease back. After a powerful push by using the US, chinese language troops invaded (Fall 1950) and pushed the US each and all the some time past to the North / South border. combating stalled out around the thirty eighth parallel and persevered until 1953 with little effective factors by using the two factor made. An armistice became positioned into place and nonetheless lasts to this present day. The war in no way ended and to that end we nonetheless decide on hundreds of troops to maintain the North in verify. the US isn't at war with Mexico or Canada so it can be a waste of components to place military troops who're experienced for war on the border. the army does not act as a police tension. Border patrol is a police action and to that end falls on those businesses.

To answer your question;

The problem is that the Korean War has never been settled, no peace treaty between North and South Korea has ever been signed. The US troops are part of a UN force that I believe should stay till North Korea signs the treaty to end the War.

It is a waste of money, and manpower, and we should get out of foreign governments problems.

Some predict leaving the region, North Korea would fall within a year and join with south Korea. There is no threat to South Korea.

As for UN resolutions, they are not MY CONSTITUTION, they are NOT OUR LAWS! We are sovereign are we not?
