We already have a candidate who is Bilingual, Former Governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson. I don't think Mexican-Americans must demand that we have a bilingual candidate, but I think that a bilingual candidate would encourage more students to learn another language. I think that a bilingual candidate must be more than just bilingual. We need a cosmopolitan president. We need a man/woman who is able to effectively communicate and pursue the needs of all Americans while also reviving the image of this country abroad.

Well, it shouldn't be necessary to be bilingual and Mexican-Americans are not the most powerful electoral group.
I think it would look better if the President know more languages than one because it shows he is intelligent, culturally diverse, and able to connect with more than just the average white male. After all, the Pope, the most powerful religious leader in the world, knows several languages.

No. And they are not the most powerful electoral group either. The silent electorals are the most powerful and they are Irish, Italian and Black, now that you apply race to the scenario. No candidate in the United States will ever be required to be bilingual. If you want to change something, go to Mexico and tell your government to change, its time you wake up and possibly considered going back to Mexico.

No, there'll be a black president earlier there's a Mexican-American president. So as quickly as there's a black president then you certainly understand that united states of america is on the cusp of accepting a Mexican-American as president.

Mexican-Americans (not to be confused with "Hispanics") only make up around 6-7% of the population and half of them are probably illegal. If you want to speak spanish I suggest you move to a country where Spanish is spoken..

Just vote for the Democrats. It is the same thing. They want to give away our country to anyone that hates America. WE are the devil. The root of all evil.

I don't believe they should. No offense or anything but we are in America and people know that they first language is English. Other countries try to learn English even though it isn't their first language why can't people just do that. You come to America, America doesn't come to you.

Good one! I believe G. Bush did well with your people. Don't give yourself too much credit. You aren't that powerful.
