why logic is important?

By itself, it's just a logic. Logic has no importance until some being finds it important. That finding need not be logically sound. The importance assigned can be arbitrary.

Those enchanted by logic tend to forget that logical discourse is not the only option, and that logic is a late-comer in the universe. Seeing how effectively lately-constructed logical structures serve as useful explanations (within agreeably bound domains), it is easy to slip into the bad habit of presuming that logic is adequate and that what is not logical is not useful, or is not wanted.

I do find logic useful, and quite often the sharp tool for the clever cut. But I do not let the chisel, another sharp tool, tell me where to cut the stone. I use tools, as I choose to use them, and I choose also which tool is most nearly meet with the task in hand. Often, it is a logical tool.

Logic tells me that after a full meal, I should not want to have a little dab of chocolate ice cream. I smack logic with a spoon, and have a little dab of ice cream. In this instance, logic is unimportant, and rather annoying.

Logic is what makes the computer work; without logic, there would be no computers, no internet, no Yahoo! answers!
If people would behave IAW Mr. Spock of Star Trek, most problems would no longer exist. People are emotional and their behaviour/lives are ruled by emotions.
Still, most inventions are because of some one using logic.

you may define your guy or woman regulations to the coolest judgment you utilize. in case you start up out by using asserting that supernatural issues can take place, then once you notice something which you won't be able to describe you may say that it is logical to anticipate that it is supernatural. while talking relating to the coolest judgment of technological awareness you may desire to begin by using asserting which you will purely evaluate factors which would be evaluated interior the organic international. It does not rule out the supernatural, even though it does not help it. The commenter who stated that good judgment became significant to Christianity, could recommend that his/her device of high-quality judgment is serious. In technological awareness the device of high-quality judgment used is open to grievance...is that the case while coping with a good judgment device the helps supernaturalism?

Because it beats the other stuff. The amorphous fuzziness of pure feeling is like a fog that won't disappear until it is pierced by logic.

logic is a bunch of abstractions into which men escape to avoid facing the chaos of reality.

And thankfully so or there would be no traffic lights etc etc.

logic at its core is structure,logos,order...the bones of the body - not the flesh. The structure of the universe etc of things,of people.

It is not impressed with things outside structure ,in things in which logic does not apply or which appear too chaotic/without order.

If something is outside of this structure [e.g it appears illogical/chaotic],logic will find out a way to harness and structure it.

It is a very masculine concept.

Logic is the epistemological necessity of making cosmos from chaos. Were we not able to do this, we would be as the other primates, eating bugs and leaves and not speaking about logic.

well lets see, if you didnt have any logic, you would probably die. logic is two steps ahead of common sence, and one step behind knowledge. we need all three to survive. common sence tells you not to jump in the boiling gyser.
logic lets you know to watch out for any more gysers, and steer clear of them.
knowlede lets you be fasinated, makes you crave to know why the gyser is hot.
