I can't remember what it's called anymore...it's been a while since i took mythology

it's a bout a king who marries a woman and she is so sad to be taken away from her sister (or something similar) and he has to vow to her father that he'll protect both of them. then he fake kidnaps the sister and rapes her in a secret cottage until she weaves her story into a tapestry for her (now a queen) sister. To take revenge the queen roasts her sons on a spit and serves them to the king and at the end they all turn into birds.

Hercules. Hercules was strong, true, but he was also very intelligent; he did some amazing things by being sort of an engineer....like when he diverted the flow of a river to clean out the stables.

I'm not sure if this is greek and I'm not even sure if its a story but
it had something to do with a father eating his children and getting tricked into spitting them out. Or something like that.
