So my husband drove by to grab the keys from me since i decided to work 4 hours over time today (we have a mortage down paymen due soon and not enough cash) Now he cant get over time at work so to help things out I've got a second job now and during the week I do ot here at work. So when he pulled up I asked him to fry up some brats for dinner it is the first time he has ever had to cook in our marriage. He has the nerve to tell me he can wait till i get home because he doesnt want to cook and it will only take me a couple minutes to do it. I'm tired I'm planning our house warming party this weekend worked 12 hours and he cant fry up some freaking brats. I do all the house work, I work more hours I make more money and I take care of him help out with little thing like lay out his clothes pack his lunch handle the bills. This really made me feel like I'm not even important to him. I want to be a good wife I like to take care of my family am i wrong to want him to have a dinner for me

He knows how to cook he's 29 and I'm 23, he was a fully functioning adult at some point before me. But as a husband when you wife is working 60+ hours a week wouldnt you want to do something anything to make her life easier. i really feel like crying like he doesnt love enough or something

No! it sounds more like your his little mmomy than rather his wife! by making everything so simple you make him think that you'll always make everything for him food, clothes everything maybe you should tell how you've been feeling? it would help? Hope everything works out!

If it only takes a coule of minutes he can miss the latest sports scores to do so. Or he can turn the TV up louder over the sizzling sound as he fries up the "brats".

If it is only once ever then it shouldnt be a problem. I say hold out and wait till he does it. Or if he doesnt do anything cook up your own food and tell him to cook his own. If he expects you to pay 1/2 of the bills he better be sure to do half of the work. If he does do other stuff that you dont do then once wont kill him.

you should call him and tell him you need him to do this because your tired and it would be nice if it was done before you get home. he has some nerve I always cook but if I asked my husband he would do it for me. say something to him nicely so you don't argue. good luck

No you are not wrong for wanting him to cook you dinner. But you are wrong for suddenly expecting such treatment from him. You already knew he does not know how to cook. You should have began a long time ago with the cooking lessons.

The other thing you are wrong about is the real crux of the problem. He is not upset about the cooking... he is upset for another reason. Find out what it is.

Good luck.

Eat before you go home.

When he asks for dinner remind him of the request you made of him.

You've been babying him, so now you're gonna hafta retrain him.

It will take awhile, but will be worth it.

I'd be telling him...chump I have 2 jobs and when I get home you better have dinner waiting on me. Cause I bring in more than you and I can live without you better than you can live without me. Do you comprehendo???

Don't make an issue of it - it's not that important. Maybe he doesn't feel comfortable in the kitchen.

Order pizza or pick up some deli food on the way home.

Joy to you!

stop babying him! make him do stuff for himself and stop doing it for him! the least he can say is thnx...you should tell him he can either cook or clean! but he has to do one! It wont change until u change it...and no ur not wrong for wanting him to do something...he should do something without having to have u ask him...
