one of course is the scent, but also how long the scent lasts on me when I wear it because I want it to last and finally if it really moisturizes my skin well plus price. I prefer cheapest, but sometimes you get what you pay for so I'm willing to pay more for it. Brand name sometimes factors in because I love almost anything from Bath & Body Works.

first and foremost for me is how the product will work with my very sensitive skin. i don't like a lot of "fake" fragrence and primarily use shea butter. the less ingredients the better. smell is probably second thing look for. I like clean fresh scent that aren't overly floral or overpowering..
