Solve each equation over the set of complex numbers.

If f(x)=3x+5 and g(x)=x-1, find f[g(-1)].

I don't understand how to do this problem.

f(g(-1) ) = f( -1-1) = 3(-2) + 5 = -1

fist sub -1 in g
g(-1)=(-1)-1 = -2
sub -2 in f
f(-2)=3(-2)+5 = -1
