You didn't mention where you will be riding - that makes a difference in the size of board you choose. Try this snowboard calculator for size and suggestions of boards that would work for you:

For a freeride board, this might be a little smalll - maybe 161cm would be better, but for a freestyle board (park) this would be about right.

Also note that if you have feet size 11 or larger you may need to look for a "wide" board so your feet don't touch in a turn. Bindings with "lifters" will help this.

Good Luck.

Because of your weight, I would ride a softer snowboard so your weight will help you flex the snowboard so you can control it better. If you are a beginner and just starting out, you should get a snowboard that is around 160-168 cms long. (guessing you are about 185cm)

It depends on what style of riding you will partake in. If you plan on carving and riding a lot, go with a longer board. For hitting up the park, go shorter. I am 5'10", and I sport a k2 Illusion 159. The board comes up to my lips, and its the perfect medium..If you plan on riding different parts of the mountain, I would suggest a board in the mid-160's. Keep in mind (as mentioned below) if your feet are bigger than size 11, get a wide board. it helps.

If you weigh 150 you should ride about a 150-154. I weigh about 160 and am 5'11" and I ride a 154 for freestyle. You won't need a wide board if you wear a size 10 shoe.
