The only people who resent sarcasm are the ones who aren't clever and intelligent enough to understand it. I love sarcasm, and I am naturally witty and sarcastic. I think that it does take skill, and I'm proud of it. I make a ton of people laugh. And sarcasm isn't necessarily intended to hurt someone. Just go look at the ecard on the Hallmark website called "Sarcastic Wednesday".

Because it takes skill to have an intelligent sense of humor. People gravitate toward fart jokes and racist jokes because like most things in life, they want the easy way.

Because it takes intelligence to get subtle jokes, and those who are lacking don't like to be shown as lacking.
