I was wondering because this frozen pizza brand (Tony's) and another one i cant remember was recalled and a store by our house,Winco's still has it,but shouldnt it be out of stores?And if its not how does the whole recalling thing work?

It really depends on the technicalities of a reacall. A lot of times with food a recall is set in the terms of manufacturing dates. All food is marked w/codes to determine what factory it was made at or when it was made and they will recall food based on that. So to answer your question not really. The brand of food you're seeing is probably after that recall period

Usually a recall will apply to specific item from specific lot numbers. If the store can replace the recalled with others from a different lot, then there is no need to keep the store shelves empty.

In this case, I'm guessing the recall was something related to a suspect meat or something similar. If that's the case, the store does not have to pull items from the same brand that do not contain the suspect item. For example, if they thought they had a bad batch of sausage, there would be no reason to recall the pepperoni pizzas.

Only certain product codes are recalled, not usually the whole product line. There might be an ingredient on one pizza that is recalled that isn't on some of the others.

Is this store a privately owned? i heard of this place that sells 5 year old cornflakes and then hides them whenever they are inspected. ask the owners first. and if the recalll is still on report them
