Use the flood thing... sorry not real familiar with the bible.
The animals all died and then their bodies went to the bottom and got covered by rocks to make fossils!

Hope this helps!

Basically, the global flood caused many creatures to be buried.

In fact the fact that there are so many fossils is evidence of the flood.

Fossils are only found in sedimentary rock.
Nearly all the sedimentary rock and the fossils were laid down by the Global Flood, 4000 years or so ago.
Hence we see billions of fossils laid down by water, buried in sediment all over the world.

The fossils are hard to explain from an evolutionary point of view. Despite many text books claims, they clearly do not form slowly - animals usually get eaten in minutes or hours when they die. In today's conditions the formation of a fossil is extremely rare.
There are fossils of fish in the middle eating another fish, and one of a fish giving birth - obviously buried very quickly.

It can´t, The Bible starts like 5,500 years ago, there where no paleontologist in those days, Could be that humanity only got their soul then and started counting, but Pythagoras was not born yet, so, like Matuslalem lived to be 900 years, or just aded a 0

Considering that the bible was written in a time that people did not understand what we currently do and the fact that Jesus loved telling a parable to get his point across and that Jesus is supposed to be the son aspect of God, what is to say that creation was EXACTLY like it was in the bible? Maybe God was telling a story to get his point across. How would an everlasting being see 100 million years? Probably like a day.
First day, God created the heavens and the Earth (Big Bang).
Second day, He created the seas (Earth cooling down)
Third day, and so on....
If you look at the theory of evolution, and how the earth was formed, that's the same order scientists of today will all agree on. Maybe creation took more time than is written in the bible, and maybe he was telling a parable??
And what is to say that the other religions are not speaking of the same deity? He'd probably have to approach each differently, wouldn't he? I mean you wouldn't go and say the EXACT same thing to different peoples (meaning groups of different types of people there), would you? If you look at all of the religions, they say a lot of the same things....hmmm, kinda makes you wonder....

Only by substituting days in Genesis for 1 billion years
Still lacking on the details though
Mind you, evolution wasn't studied until a couple of hundred years ago so if they wrote the bible now, would it be different?

It can't.

The Bible is not a scientific reference. At best, its a somewhat accurate historical document.
