OK, first check with your doctor to see if you have an infection or an std that needs taken care of, if you do not and it is just normal monthly itching, Fill your bathtub with water, hip deep, put in 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, and sit it it, up to at least 1/2 hour. Have any plain yogurt? Coat a tampon with the yogurt and insert it just before bed time, and leave in all night, you should feel better in the morning.
And I have heard of using the aloe Vera juice, but I think that is the processed kind, you buy in a drug store. And for those of you, who think, HUH? Remember that the discovery of Aspirin was from Birch Bark.
Dear, in an earlier question you asked about amniocentesis, which leads me to think you may be pregnant. If this is the case, the itching may come from the pregnancy and it's a whole new ball game, talk to your doctor before using anything.

Is it safe but probably won't relieve itching. Get Benedryl cream and if it does not subside get an OTC vaginal suppository for a mild yeast infection. Take a bath with a cup of baking soda and sit for at least 15 minutes. Do the bath first, your PH level in your vagina may be off.

yes, you can, but it might not help depending on what is causing the itching. If its just dry, it will probably help, but if its a yeast infection or another infection, odds are it wont. They don't help me.
I suggest going to the doctor to get tested.
Oh and aloe is sometimes used in vaginal cream..but if you are unsure about it i know that you can try anti-itch cream. my doctor has suggested it in the past
EDIT
After seeing others posts, I wouldnt use the tests for yeast and bacteria in drug store unless you dont have good insurance. those tests cost $15-20, if you have good insurance it would cost less to go to the dr.

I wouldn't recommend trying it til you talk to your doctor to have them check to see what is causing this itching.
