Theres this light in my house that just stopped working recently.
I tested the light switches and they work. I went to the attic to get to the junction box, and followed the right cable from the light to it.
Where the cable goes in, theres no power. And all the fuses are good.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Yes, the bulbs work. the whole fixture is for floresent bulbs (tube)
the tested all the switches. but there no power coming to the light. im going up into the attic again to follow the wire closer and see if it goes to a different junction box. im also going to look inside of the boxes too, like some of you said to. thanks fo all the help so far.

You said switches for a single light so you must have a 3 or 4 way switch to the fixture. Those can be a little tricky especially if you are using one of the voltage indicator pens to determine if it is hot.
If this is the case the best way to trouble shoot multiple switch circuits is to turn off the power, unscrew the switches from the wall and determine the common terminal on each switch (requires multimeter). Disconnect the common lead on all of them. You can now use your meter to determine if one of the switches might be bad. You should have continuity from common to one side and then flip the switch and you should have continuity from common to the other side. Also if your comfortable doing it, turn the power on while you still have the switches apart and determine which wire is actually the feed wire (it will be one of the commons) this will aid you in trouble shooting and in rewiring the multiswitch circuit if you decide to.
I hope this helps.

Change the bulb, Sometimes bulbs are bad from the store, You wouldn't have power from the switch unless you complete the circuit. Flip the switch on and test it at the light socket.

Inside of your junction box there should be one black wire that is hot. That will be your hot feed. Be sure all of the wiring is connected on this wire. It may have become lose. Turn power off to be sure and take wire nuts off each wire. Retighten all of your wires and replace the wire caps. ( i use new ones) Turn your power back on to see if this has taken care of your problem. If not let us all know. best of luck

Check all fuses or breakers first.
Check to see if you have power to (at) the switch.
Is the light buld any good? lol
Problem is probably not at the box in the attic

could be the connection inside the box ( where the fixture ties to the house wiring). it is a rare occurrence, but it does happen
