When I was about 10 or 12, somebody gave me some record albums of Broadway and show tunes, and I remember listening to Paul Robeson--I lived his deep basso. And Gene Autry on the radio. (hey, I'm old!)
Then it was Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, and then when I got to be a teenager, who else but Elvis, everything he did.
Johnny Mathis, Until the Twelfth of Never. I still love that song.
Later, Beverly Sills, Barbara Striesand. Peter Paul and Mary. I have favorites from every era. The names and songs keep flooding back as I think of them, there are so many. I still love to listen to all those songs. I haven't yet ordered one of those collections from the late-nite infomercials, but give me time, I'm weakening!

Now this is my kind of question! Hard to choose one though.
Male singer was Brook Benton
Female singer was Ketty Lester
I could listen to these two all night long and did.I still enjoy their singing. I think I was a teenager in the best era for music.
It's the music of our youth that makes us feel young!

Just bunches from the folk groups in the 60's. Although in the service & not a rebel rouser, most my favorite songs were
the activists anti- songs.
