Another loaded question from Roy West, failed BNP candidate and holder of more Yahoo accounts than we've all had Christmas lunches.
Let me remind you that you don't need to vote BNP to be English. I don't - in fact I never have and never will - and I don't feel under threat.

As empires go, Britain was the greatest ever, and far more civil to the nations they conquered than any of the other empires, aggressive nations, societies, and cultures, which means the rest of the world which also practices conquest whenever capable, and the English certainly deserve great credit for this. The contributions of the English to this world are enormous and undeniable except to those who choose to live in denial. If Elizabeth the first had not stood up to the Catholic Church and the Spanish Empire, the world would be a much nastier place in my opinion.
An Englishman, John Locke, wrote the primary concepts on which the U.S. constitution was written, the ideas of the rights of man and a balance of power between the branches. The U.S. certainly owes a great deal of respect and admiration to that English man.
Spanish conquistadors would have conquered N America as well, and the Native American tribes here would have suffered worse. All of the America's would most likely now be like Latin America, suppressive and economically stagnate.
It seems to me that the English, like the rest of the western world, is having their good will taken advantage of.

I guess it still means that you're a citizen of England, you eat fish n' chips with too much vinegar, you have crooked teeth, cling to an anacronistic notion of "royalty", don't bathe quite as regularly as you should, etc.

Not since your entire empire revolted in the middle of the last century. But hey, you've still got the Falklands...
