Oh, I wish I lived closer. I would love to visit that place. Do you know that they just got their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last month! There are still about 6 or 7 of them still living today and were there in attendence.

I actually met two of the real Munchkins who appeared in the movie. One of them was a dear friend of my wife.
Here's a tidbit about the movie which, if it were made today, would cause protest groups to form and boycott the theaters. Next time you view the movie, look for it. It's the scene of the celebratory parade after the witch was killed by Dorothy's house falling on her. Those munchkins preceding the carriage in the parade are goose-stepping! Just like German soldiers in the 1930s! LOL!

I also have met a few of them. My cousin worked on a charity committee with Billy Barty (remember him?). We attended an event with them and they looked a whole lot different in tuxedos!

Mister Ed ... your comment reminded me of a movie, "The Terror of Tiny Town," a western comedy with lots of little people cowboys riding ponies! Silly, but very funny!

Thanks, no. The Munchkins elected the current president twice, and even when the curtain is pulled back, as is was recently with the NIA's report on Iran's nuclear program they listen when he says, "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"
