Nah, I wouldn't do it Rios is the Jays best player and Tim Lincecum is only going into his 2nd year and he might struggle the rest of his career....ya never know he could.

As much as I like Alex Rios in the Jays outfield, it's tough to pass up the opportunity to grab a good, young starting pitcher. Adding Lincecum to a mix that includes Halladay, Burnett and McGowan would mean a very impressive staff for Toronto. It would also open the possibility of trading Burnett for a pricier bat, which I think they're hesitant to do until they assure themselves of a replacement in the rotation.

I know that there are some concerns about Lincecum's delivery and its possible bearing on a future injury, but I'd still do the deal if I was the Jays. They've made it clear that they prefer the more polished Matt Cain, but I don't think the Giants are going to go for that. Anyway, I'm just happy to see the Jays getting out there and making moves. We're in a division where it's almost impossible to move above third, sot this is encouraging.

Well, Toronto would definitely get the better end of that deal. The fact that SF would even get rid of a good pitcher and leave nothing to win with on the mound would amaze most fans, but remember, it's SF and as far as the owner and GM, SF does not stand for San Francisco.

Toronto at one time was interested in Bedard, but I think that has fallen to the wayside. Losing Alex Rios certainly won't help them to finish better than third in that division.

I am a Giants fan...and even though I hate to see Lincecum go, we have an excess of pitching and we seriously need to upgrade our lineup and I think Alex Rios will help get that process started. He is a good hitter and would help with the 3-4-5- spots that are kind of missing in our lineup. Personally, I hope the trade goes through.

I think they don't have a choice, they don't really have a guy that they could offer to get a big bat without keeping Lincecum.

I wouldn't do it, I loved the guy, and of course, most people will notice that Lincecum's delivery and pitching may cause a future injury.

But, without Barry Bonds, they'll need an offensive bat. And you'll get that from Alex Rios, plus defense in the OF.

Rios is a good player, but the Giants would be crazy to trade Lincecum. It is much easier to get an OF than it is to get starting pitching.

Rios is great, but the Jays should make the deal since Lincecum is supposed to be one of baseballs best future young starters.

One bat wont do anything for the Ginats. They need to build their offense form the gorund up. Don't get me wrong, Rios is great but Lincecum is more valuable. He did great in his first major league season. He throws at tremendous speeds has great location and junk pitches, hitters have been quoted at saying he s the best they have evr seen. Lincicum is great and will only get better, I want to keep Linicum and Cain in the rotation for years to come.

It's definitely possible. Since the 70's, I've seen the Giants pull off blockbuster deals, but if it involves starting pitchers, they should hold off on it. Besides a slugger, the Giants really need starters year in and year out. That's their weakness.....

I'd say no.....
