To some extent. I would appear normal and professional looking, but I am far from obsessed with popular culture.

well of course. everyone is, whether they realize it or not.
Even those who say that they are not into modern society's definition of beauty really are still influenced by it, even if in no other way than to have something to rebel against.

i think you (we) are b/c it's tossed in our faces ALL the time. like jennifer love hewitt. she's a pretty girl & all, pretty nice face & great body, but when I saw her in her bikini, i thought - wow, you're wearing a bikini? wow! really?! i myself am a 'good sized' girl & try not to judge women who look like myself, but i'm 'told' what is pretty by the media, & i find it hard to see past that ...
Don't get me wrong though ... MaryKate & Ashley Olson are TOO skinny in my opinion ...

nope! everybody thinks that they have to look, act, be just like all these people they see on tv wich is not even true. people just want to change other people and what they dont like about them i guess they want us all to be the same. but um for me thats not going to happen lol i dont really care ehat other people think either ya like me or ya dont ya know?
whay should i act like somebody im not? thats not who i'am.
