You can solve for y if x has a value.
Example
If x = 10 :-
y = 15 + 5
y = 20

Simplifying
y = 1.5x + 5

Reorder the terms:
y = 5 + 1.5x

Solving
y = 5 + 1.5x

Solving for variable 'y'.

Move all terms containing y to the left, all other terms to the right.

Simplifying
y = 5 + 1.5x

well I think you can find y by substituting 0 in for x so it would be y=1.5(0)+5 then you just solve! and if u want to find x you plug 0 in for y.

you want to isolate y take 5x from each and each side -2y = 15 - 5x now divide each and each side by ability of -2 to fairly isolate y y = (15-5x)/(-2) or if this is a slope intercept kind equation, that could be -2y = -5x +15 y = 5/2x -15/2 Edit: I relish your help "Kum"

just make x=0
so it is
y=1.5(0)+5
y=0+5
y=5
that is all you do. and when u r solving for x you make y 0
