It's just old, to tell you the truth. but there are tiny little scratches all over it that bother me. Is there any way to get rid of them or at least make them less noticeable?

Bar Keepers Friend does work very well. This is the procedure that I use with it.... Sprinkle it on liberally, take a wet paper towel and scrub. If you can't feel the scrubbing action, it feels like grit, you either don't have enough cleaner or too much water. Once you have scrubbed as much as you want, then take a dry towel and buff it clean. This procedure also works with Bon Ami.

I have found that these products work much better than the creams or wipes that are sold for the stove tops. Each time you clean it, it will look better. Oh yeah, if you go to a pet store and get a plastic algae scraper they work wonderful for taking off stuck on spills.

My glass stove top came with a glass top/ceramic cooktop cleaner that helps hide any scratches

a product like this should be available at your local home improvement store or appliance store

You will need a drill and a cloth bit.
Buy some scratch remover polish and the use the drill & cloth and buff it down to a shiny new look.
