i have a AGP port 8x will any AGP graphics card work in it

YES, just keep away from old cards that need higher signaling voltage.
Cheap options: 7300GS or GT AGP, ATI HD 2400 Pro AGP.
Better: 7600GS or GT AGP, ATI HD2600 XT AGP
Best: ATI X 1950 Pro or XT AGP, Geforce 7950 GT AGP.

Yes. If you use an older card that is only 2x or 4x, you will of course only get those speeds. Not the full 8x your motherboard is capable of but they will work.
