She was told by a doctor, that after having gastric bypass surgery, that her " clock was re set and She could start having periods again. Is this possible ?

Well, being overweight affects your hormones, and it can make your periods stop, or become heavier, or lighter, etc. I wouldn't say that her clock has been re-set--nothing does that. But her hormones changed, and so she had a period again. Given her age, it's unlikely that she'll start having them every month--she's likely peri-menopausal, but might perhaps continue having periods for awhile.
