Why wouldn't you? Baptists believe in Jesus and Chrsitmas is his birthday! Celebrate all you want! And we celebrate New Year's because it is about hope and a fresh start!

Of course you can Thanksgiving isnt a religious holiday, neither is nre years, and xmas was originally a pagan celebration. I'm not religious at all, but I can still celebrate a season of giving and good feelings towards others without cutting the church a check.

Your a Baptist and don't know anything about your faith? Maybe your thinking of JW's they don't celebrate anything not even birthdays they are the saddest religion I ever heard of next to Buddism who won't allow women to go to Heaven :-/
(and yes a Thai Buddist straight from the old countrytold me this so don't tell me otherwise; she was serious and converted to Christianity because she hated the thought of turning into smoke when she died).

there is no law requiring people to be of a certain religion to celebrate a holiday. it's all about choice.
