Life is not safe. As a woman I never feel safe. As an USAian, know that with our 14th amendmant to our constitution, which guarantees the RIGHT to bear arms gives us the opportunity to address a coup d'etat, should we ever wake up and see that they aready did it in our last election.
We took you Brits on in 1776, then we took on ourselves, and so on, and want to be able to do it again with whoever invades us, such as Mexican busboys or pilots that do not care about landing a plane. So with a population of 300 million, and access to fire arms, I am surprised we do not have a higher murder rate. I live in a rural area, a recluse, as the urban areas offer more of a possibility of an encounter with a hand gun. Here in the country it is mostly rifles for hunting. We also have 9 dogs which will and do make lots of noise. So I have time to get my rifle.
Those poor Jews in the Warsaw ghetto who couldn't get a zip gun for a sack of diamonds. We have a guaratee in a piece of paper which stands between us and tyranny, called the constitution. Your Magna Carta was certainly an inspiration.
I do not understand why OUR aryan, teutonic, blue-eyed devil, master race neo-nazi types worry about the "blakes" as they are killing themselves off on their own. Americans of African descent can look at murder , with guns, as being the number 1 cause of death for males from13-24. Black on black crime as the media likes to call it.
Your system or ours. We are watching the experiment. Are we not? Colonialism, communism, Islam, Judaism, North Korea, Sweden, capitalism, socialism, ismism. Am I wrong?
So to gun or not to gun.
Who decides.
Vote.
We voted for freedom and without the ability to defend liberty
essencially one has none. The right to revolution if the voting system corrupts or the CIA pursues a coup in on our own country ...for a change.

I know that mall. I lived in Omaha when my youngest son was born, and I walked all over that particular mall when I first went into labor, trying to walk him down (didn't work - he was still 2 1/2 weeks late). When I first heard the news, I just knew it had to be that one, because it is the largest mall in Georgia, and if someone is going to act a fool like that, it seems like they always go for maximum exposure.
Momonster: The shooter was Caucasian.

What's scary is President Bush was in Omaha, Nebraska but had left just one hour before hand...whether the gunman used this for more attention, we'll never know....I have a very close friend who lives in Omaha and I've yet to get in touch with her, but I will hope she can shed some more light on the whole terrifying attack....

I try to stay away from the malls and big retail places as much as possible this time of year. Especially when I am alone. People get dangerously desperate. I had not heard about the mall shooting that is so sad, it's usually purse thieves and such.

this country is crazy. We have alot political and nonpolitical organizations that seem to be involved in everything. The US is great but it is also its own worse enemy. Greed plays the monster in this country and I feel it is the major driving force of many of the problems here. The rich make the rules and everyone else is left dealing with their decisions.

Yes, I feel safe here in America!
The gun laws in America do not need to change, the punishment to criminals who illegally carry and use guns need to change.
In philadelphia, where I live, it has been said that 85% of the 370 murders this year were done buy guns. But they don't say what % were illegal guns. I would bet most of them so why should the law abiding citizens be punished?
