On runescape, how do you start training slayer?

I have 1 slayer. Everything on the Slayer monster chart is for slayer lvl 5 or higher. How do I start training slayer?!?

go to a slayer master. there is one in burthorpe and canifis.

First off, you need to be a member to be able to get your slayer lvl up.

Do slayer quests by talking to slayer masters
