Bonds sounds like a good guess to me.

Edit: Ha! Not so. Bonds is #3, 101 RBI in 373 AB in 2004. The right answer was a different, recent MVP season.

I doubt you can find record players like that anymore for sale new , why not repair the old one ? Replace the drive belt should do the job so it plays fine, its also a pretty cheap fix. should be easy to dissasemble it , often its just to yank out the turntable and the belt is right under there, make sure to get the correct size belt for that model.
