Condoms are approximately 70% effective while the pill is 99% effective. If you use both it's still only 99% effective.

Sheesh, there's some silly answers here.
Pills are more effective preventing pregnancy whether or not you're a perfect user (in other words, even if you miss a day or take the pill at a different time each day, you're better off than with condoms). The female condom is much less effective than the male condom. In addition, NEVER USE both the female and the male condom together. Its like using two male condoms. They rub against each other and both snap.
The pill clearly doesn't protect against STDs at all, though. Also, you won't gain tons of weight, and most pills improve acne, although some may increase it. Just have to find the one that's right for you. The mood swings can happen. The pill doesn't cause abortions.

pills are more effective(if used right) however, many girls gain tons of weight, get acne, and mood swings. There are other bc's out there, like the female condom. If you use the female condom with the man using a condom, you will be safe(if used in the correct way). Good luck, I personally would not recommend the pills.

The Pills can cause abortions and if you are religious you might want to do more research on them. They also mess up your own ovaries production of hormones and once you get off it could take a very long time to recover. The pill can also lead to osteoporosis and blood clots and drains your body of calcium and other important nutrients. I would only ever advice condoms or natural family planning (look it up on the internet) for protection. Its 99% effective.
Here is my source on the pill causing abortions:

Pills are more effective but neither is 100% effective. It's best to use both.
