i shaved my pubic hair with an electric razor, not all off. thats the problem. it does not look good so i am going to regrow it. but it is really prickly and is not painful but a HUGE annoyance. how long will it take for the prickle to go away?

note: i shaved this mourning before having a shower.

You should be prickly a few days.

You know if you keep shaving the hair will soften and won't be so prickly...

My guess is that you'll be pretty uncomfortable for at least a week and possibly as long as a month, depending on your individual pattern of hair growth. Somebody else might have faster or slower growing hair, and coarser hair is pricklier than finer hair.

I suggest that you get some aloe vera gel. It's usually sold for sunburn, so you might have to ask for it at this time of year, but it should be available at any pharmacy. It's very soothing and should make the area less uncomfortable during the grow out period. You've made a wise decision not to do it again. Good luck!

you are feeling the nubs after cutting the hair and it is poking you. In a couple days it will grow and get softer again. Meantime us lotion often to keep it from irriating your skin.
