Don't be ignorant. You need to read up on your history of war before you start spouting off with these kinds of questions. Breeding hate does nothing. We will be in Iraq and Afganistan for decades to come as a policing force as well as military bases. There has been no time in the history of the world that a conquoring military has just packed up its bags and left totally from an area it had occupied.
This war was coming sooner or later. If you think there was a diplomatic solution you are gravely mistaken, however please feel free to contact the Secretary of States Office and advise them on how you would handle the situation since you know so much. thks.

#1 if you want to support the troops, we need to have wars otherwise there's no reason to keep troops on the pay roll, unfortunately soldiers need a war to fight to make a living, it's just like if there was no crime Police would be out of jobs. So the best way is to Donate to war-amp programs, and to wear a ribbon ect.
If you're asking how we stop ppl from getting killed then that's a different story. But more equipment & training for soldiers == support.

Well if those are the only two options, I think the answers are obviously going to be as skewed. Best way to support your troops? Send some pictures. Send some homemade cookies. Something you washed and smells like fabric softener. A homemade card from a kid will bring grown men down every time. Something that will bring memories in and let reality escape just for a little while. It wasn't the answer you were looking for, but its the real answer.

I think you mean this:
#1. Look at the facts, listen to others, and make an informed decision for yourself.
#2. Be against the war because Greenday told you to.
it can go either way, ignorant people against the war, because they are childish and listen to people that write music for a living, or are childish and want to have others live out their war fantasy.
The rest of us will think about it, and make our decisions based on actual evidence, and allow others to have their own opinions, because this is a free country, or did you forget that part?

Hindsight is 20/20. Although I don't support the war I wouldn't, not for 1 minute, want to fill the president's shoes. So many people think they'd do a better job. 90% of those people couldn't pass a simple citizenship test. Complaining doesn't help nor SUPPORT our troops.
Send a care package instead.

In number two do you mean Clinton? Read these quotes. I hated Clinton but he had the same point of view as Bush.

Why don't you just support our troops no matter who is in office. The troops are out there everyday defending YOUR country, allowing you to be free to even write these questions. Nothing else matters, just support our troops- thank them if you see one.

You leave out option 3 - support a war that is fought to preserve our freedom, including your freedom to dissent.

theres only one issue your not supporting the military... the military is just a broad term used for a group of individuals so to support the individuals most just want to be noticed... to hear thank you its our job but who wants to work a thankless job

Both answers seem over the top, but I know what you are saying. And I know what you mean by both.
