GW has already threatened to start laying off Gov employes if he does not get his appropriations approved. If funding was cut off all together for the war in Iraq, how far would GW go?

Instead of asking for more money he should spend his time looking for the lost and misappropiated money. And how about that hedonistic embassy he has built. No more money should be given for this illegal invasion/occupation! And shame on Congress if they do!.

In my opinion, the Democrats will wait until the 11th hour, when everyone is sleeping and pass the bill.
In the end, they will fold like a cheap lawn chair.

Honestly I think the war needs to be funded and congress needs to do it. But I really like the idea of his cutting out some gov't jobs.

The US Government........ the largest employer in the entire world does seam to be a little overstaffed wouldnt hurt to cut back a little or a lot...... it would be for a good cause

If funding gets cut off, the war ends. It happened at the end of Vietnam. However, you also screw the troops in the process. So, its a Catch 22 unfortunately. As foolish as I believe that Bush is, this catch 22 is actually the perfect circular arguement that will keep us stuck in that sh**hole for the rest of the decade.

Problem is cuttign funding would not solve the problem it would make it worse. The government will never cut funding, it is all talk. The talk underminds our troops abroard and it forces them in a bad possition when all the enemy sees is fighting in the US and thinking all they have to do is rough it out till we leave. If we all stood together to kick their *** then this war would most likely be over by now and our troops would be home. THANK YOU LIBERALS FOR PROLONING THIS WAR WITH YOUR ARROGANT SPEACHES AND AMERICA BASHING. BREEDING HATE SOLVES NO PROBLEMS IT JUST MAKES EVERYTHING WORSE.
