I just found out that I am pregnant 3 days ago and I discovered that i have the "pre milk" milk. my doctors appt isn't scheduled until 2 days after Christmas and i was just curious as to how many weeks pregnant i am. I don't have a regular cycle so i cant estimate by that, and with us still being newlyweds, conception could have occurred @ any time. Any idea would be helpful!!!

Typically your body begins to produce colostrum, which is pre-milk, sometime in the second trimester. Every woman and every pregnancy is different, however. Some women leak colostrum during their pregnancies and some women don't. Either way is normal. Breast milk does not come in until about 3 days after the birth of the baby. Since you have irregular periods, your doctor may perform a pelvic exam and make an estimate as to how far along you are based on the feel of your cervix. He/she may also listen for a heartbeat which generally can be heard by 12 weeks, but this can vary due to numerous variables. Your doctor will likely order an ultrasound which will give a best guess estimate as to how far along you are. None of the methods for determining due dates are an exact science and are made based on averages. I conceived our 4th baby very unexpectedly when I had been taking birth control pills for 11 years. I had no idea I was pregnant until I went in for my yearly physical. My doctor estimated I was at least 12 weeks along based on my cerivx and being able to hear the heartbeat. However, an ultrasound estimated I was 17 weeks along already. Despite 12 ultrasounds, due to my developing Gestational Diabetes, our daughter still arrived 7 days past her due date. I think she would have been born later, but they gave me a prostaglandin gel insertion to help soften my cervix that I had a bad reaction. It sent me into 6 minute contractions and the baby in to distress by lowering her heart rate to a dangerous level. In the end, it all turned out fine and she is now a happy, healthy 10 year old.

As others have suggested, you are able to assume to leak somewhat. that's your physique preparing. the suitable element is to get some breast pads. they appear like little coasters, and help take up this liquid, the two now, and after the infant is born. i replaced into shocked to earnings that it is not "turn on the pumps" whilst the infant comes. The milk certainly variations in the process the top of your being pregnant, and in in the process the time you nurse. My daughter replaced into 2 months early, and her mom had to pump. interior the 1st few days, there replaced right into a tiny quantity of this thick yellow liquid - it looked in basic terms approximately like mustard! The nurses called this liquid gold, as that's truthfully crammed with issues mandatory for the infant, and greater effective than what a production facility could make. over the years, the milk gradually replaced in coloration, even nonetheless it never truly gave the impact of we predict milk to look as though (i.e., cow's milk). The medical doctors suggested the infant needs multiple issues consistent with it somewhat is age, so the milk the mummy produces variations over the years.

usually you are around 8 weeks when you might be able to squeeze colostrum(pre milk) out but it will only be in small amounts but in later pregnancy usually not untill 20+ weeks you may leak colostrum and have to use breast pads
your proper milk wont come in untill AFTER baby is born usually takes anywhere from 5-12 days

It depends on the person. Usually the docter's told me it was anywhere from 3-6 months. Unfortuantely I never "produced."
I had some colostrum and that was a/b it, but than the last few generations of my family seem to have had problems with it though.

Everyone is different. I started leaking colostrum at 3 months. I hear so many people say they didn't start until 7 or 8 months.

you start getting that clear junk in your breast right away, it will not turn into milk until about 3 days after birth.
