It's really hard for me to find jeans that fir because I'm a big guy. And I found a pair of bellbottoms from the sixties, but they don't fit. So is there any way I can make my own pair for men?

Ah, not wanting to give away secrets, but we used to sew "gussets" into our jeans to make bell bottoms. We'd open the seam up to the knees on the outside seam (that is not easy!!) then sew in a triangular piece of heavy fabric so the bottom would be around seven inches at the base. Hem to make it even. If you were clever the gusset would be the same fabric as a vest.

Best solution, find a pattern for bell bottoms and sew your own. The gusset was ok, but not ideal.

Use jeans you already own and cut a slit from the bottom up to the calf add a piece of wedge shaped colorful material to expand the hole.
