It may have been too big. Start with a small light one or a regular.

Aunt Flow Q's.
At the beginning of your period(day 1) your period is usually light, and then day 2-3 are usually the heavy days. Start using a light- normal flow. And the last day or so, go back to light/reg flow. Also, they now sale the multi pack, great for the whole week. The pain is probably because you don't have enough blood for the size you are using.
Good luck
ohhhh, and if it is painful to put it in, use a little petroleum for a lube. This will also help with removal.

An absorbancy that is too much for your flow level will cause irritation when you remove it. You should only wear tampons for 4 - 6 hours. You need to switch to regular absorbancy.

You need to use regulars or light flows. And it may have been too dry. It hurts really bad when they are dry coming out. I have been sexually active for about 3 years now and supers still kinda hurt me.

it might be too big. start out small and work your way up until you find one that is comfortable. the only time I used the super tampons was during my heaviest days. then i used the small ones during my light days.

When the string is red it is full and you can take it out. if it wasn't red then it wasn't full which was why it hurt. If it is your first time using them start out with the smallest and work your way up. But thats about all the advise I can give -Bee
