should i pay rent or not? Isn't it the law for the apartment to fix in a certain time. I can obligate to withdraw rent if they dont fix it right.

I doubt that a broken mirror would be an item that would let you withhold rent like a broken furnace would be. There are certain items they are required to fix, for health and safety reasons.

You could call your local housing agency and ask, since laws do vary from place to place. In the meantime, pay your rent.

A broken mirror is not a habitability issue, so withholding rent would get you an eviction notice.

If the mirror broke during your occupancy, the cost of the repair would likely fall on you because mirrors generally do not break without cause or reason.

You better pay rent or find yourself on the street. Send a certified RRR letter to the LL giving them x number of days or you will have it fixed and withhold enough of the rent to cover the expense.

I agree with Judy. Your landlord must breach the implied warranty of habitability for you to withhold rent. A broken mirror does not make your place uninhabitable. A broken toilet (assuming it's the only one), no water or no heat would probably qualify.
